Position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid AZ driver's license, and CDL-P/S with air brake endorsement; First Aid/CPR within 30 days and DPS clearance are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License for 5 years.
• Valid AZ CDL with P and S and Air Brake Endorsement prior to transporting students.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR within 30 days.
• Valid DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• DPS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload students safely, including assistive equipment.
• Drive a school bus, van, or other vehicle for student transport and field trips.
• Maintain attendance records, seating charts, and disciplinary documentation; communicate via radio.
• Monitor student conduct and enforce safety policies on the bus.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and comply with DOT safety standards.
• Perform routine bus maintenance and fuel logs; report defects promptly.
• Transport students according to routing sheets and update routes as needed.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature.
