Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL and Arizona School Bus Certification required.
• IVP fingerprint clearance card required.
• First aid and CPR certification required.
• Must understand student safety and state/local vehicle regulations.
• Must complete required reports and understand routes/maps.
• Familiarity with SDS safety data sheets and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely to and from school, field trips and events.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Administer first aid and CPR if required.
• Perform pre- and post-bus inspections and keep bus clean.
• Report malfunctions to supervisor in writing.
• Maintain accurate daily mileage log.
• Supervise students using PBIS and CPI strategies.
• Report student misconduct in writing to supervisor.
• Review routes and stay informed on policy updates and regulations.
• Follow assigned routes and assist with route changes as needed.
• Use job-related chemicals safely and as directed.
• Work after hours for sports and trips as directed.
• Contribute to team by performing other duties.
