Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires punctuality, a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, and a clean driving record.

Applicants must hold a regular driver’s license with continuous licensure for 3+ years; CDL with passenger endorsement for larger vehicles or a standard license for smaller vans.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs
• Regular driver's license; continuous licensure for past 3 years; CDL with passenger endorsement for vehicles over 15 passengers (or no special license for 15-passenger van)
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 require additional documentation annually
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in last 5 years; background check; annual physician's statement for known medical conditions; drug/alcohol testing as required

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules
• Assist students with entering/exiting; demonstrate calm, caring demeanor
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director
