Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, punctual transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith and active church involvement, plus a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities include safe driving, bus inspections, cleanliness, and assisting students entering/exiting the vehicle. Occasional classroom volunteering may be requested by the Director.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature Christian faith consistent with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active involvement in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy statements.
• Regular driver's license; license must have been current for 3+ years.
• Possess CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement if driving 15+ seat vehicles.
• Age between 21 and 80; extra documentation for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Must pass background checks and yearly physician's statement if applicable.
• Drug testing required pre-employment, annually, and after incidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and supervise student conduct.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
