Job summary

Geneva County Schools is seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to transport students safely and on schedule. The driver must hold a valid Alabama Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, have at least five years licensed driving experience, complete required training, and pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities include maintaining discipline, following routes, and reporting issues to school administrators.

Qualifications

• Alabama CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and DMV driving record verification.
• Minimum of five (5) years licensed driving experience.
• Successful completion of bus driver’s training course meeting state and federal standards.
• Must meet background clearance requirements per Alabama statutes and State Board regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school and on trips safely and efficiently.
• Comply with state and local transportation laws.
• Observe safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain student discipline and report issues to administrators.
• Fuel, inspect, and keep bus clean per transportation policies.
