Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid Alabama bus driver license (ABL) and CDL with P/S endorsement.
• Maintain a current Alabama School Bus Physical or ALDOT Health Card.
• Possess and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to pass drug test as required by law.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Operate a school vehicle on a designated route per a defined schedule.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be punctual with regular attendance.
• Board may approve acceptable alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to traffic laws and driving safety rules.
• Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and reporting.
• Maintain a clean bus and orderly students.
• Manage student discipline on the bus.
• Transport students on field trips and events when assigned.
• Attend scheduled trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality of school/workplace matters.
