Job summary

The Oregon Child Development Coalition is seeking a full-time Bus Driver in Silverton, OR to transport children and families safely to and from the center. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, manage rosters, ensure seat belt use, and assist with loading/unloading and evacuations as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle safety, relaying messages between county staff and families, and supporting management with maintenance tracking.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and timely transportation for Agency children and families.
• Assist in loading and unloading of children.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain vehicle capacity and proper use of car seats and seat belts.
• Keep roster and logs; ensure children are buckled and secured.
• Assist in evacuation drills and communicate with families.
• Support bus operations and maintenance tracking for the vehicle.
• Provide First Aid/CPR if needed and respond to emergencies.
