Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a reliable Bus Driver to transport children and families to and from center activities while upholding safety standards and state requirements.

This role emphasizes pre-trip inspections, proper seating and buckling, daily rosters and logs, and collaboration with Bus Assistants to ensure a positive, safe ride for all participants. Oregon certification required.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon School Bus Driver Certificate is required.
• Maintains safety standards and follows state regulations when transporting children.
• Ensures proper loading/unloading and securement of all passengers and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation for Agency children and families.
• Assist staff in developing routes and adhere to routings; follow emergency procedures when needed.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance issues.
• Maintain vehicle capacity and ensure passengers are seated and buckled at all times.
• Keep daily roster and logs; manage emergency supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with Bus Assistant and management; participate in team meetings.
