Qualifications

• California Special Driver Certificate for school buses.
• Current CHP-approved First Aid Certificate (if required on Special Driver Certificate).
• Current DL-51 Medical Card.
• Insurable by the District's liability carrier.

Responsabilités

• Drive a school bus along a designated route; pick up and discharge students per time schedules.
• Observe traffic and student transportation laws and maintain order on the bus.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain buses in clean, safe condition and refuel as needed.
• Assist handicapped students, including loading/unloading wheelchairs and securing seating.
