Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport public school students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and mechanical readiness of the bus, performing regular inspections and refueling as necessary.

The role requires a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise faith.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement required; School bus S endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; annual submission of CDL records for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check and drug testing required.
• Medical statements may be required for known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety; perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel as needed and enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students entering/exiting; demonstrate calm, caring demeanor.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in LifeWise classroom activities if arranged.
