Job summary

Voigt’s Bus Service is seeking qualified drivers to operate school buses for routine routes and activities within Minnesota. The role offers competitive hourly pay, quarterly incentive pay, and opportunities for advancement across multiple districts, with paid CDL training and test completion.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, meet health and safety requirements, and pass pre-employment and random drug testing.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
• No Airbrake restrictions.
• Successful completion of Pre-Employment Drug Test and Federal Random Drug Testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate school bus routes serving Minnesota districts.
• Transport students for Rocori, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Stride and Cloud School Districts.
• Participate in paid behind-the-wheel CDL training and testing.
• Occasional charter work and flexible scheduling opportunities.

Typical hours:

• Around 2 to 3 hours each route (4-6 hours per day)
  • Times vary: 6-9am, and 1:30-5pm
• 2-hour minimum pay
• Average 30 hours per week

Driving Options:

1. AM and/or PM Routes

• Service the Sauk Rapids-Rice, ROCORI, and St. Cloud School Districts.

1. School Bus Charters/Activities

• Potential for charter work 3-5 days a week.
• Schedules will vary due to the needs of the clients.
• Transport students on pre planned outings or to athletic events.

Upon Hire:

(Listed below are the State and Federal Requirements for Operating a School Bus in Minnesota. Other variables may disqualify individuals based on specific criteria, including criminal offenses, driving violations, or failure to meet health standards.)

• A valid CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, and no Airbrake restrictions, is required.
• Successful completion of a Pre-Employment Drug Test, along with Federal Random Drug Testing, is mandatory.
• A passable Pre-Employment Physical Assessment must be completed.
• A passable Medical Examination for the DOT Health Card must be completed.
• Paid behind-the-wheel training will be provided.
• A Road Test will be completed and administered by a State Certified Examiner.
