Job summary

NRT Bus in Gardner, MA is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to transport students on local routes with a focus on safety and reliability.

No CDL? Paid training available; experienced CDL holders with P & S endorsements encouraged to apply. Weekdays only with split AM/PM shifts, guaranteed hours and weekly pay may apply.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B (or higher) with P & S endorsements required or willingness to obtain — training provided.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Safe driving record.
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check & drug screening.
• English communication skills (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events.
• Drive assigned local routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies.

Already a fully licensed CDL Driver (A or B) with P & S endorsements?

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $30.90/hour (effective 8/24/26)
  • Paid Training: $20/hour
  • Charter/Activity Trips: $27.81/hour
• Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours

What You'll Do

Requirements
