Job summary

Beacon Mobility is seeking a Part‑Time School Bus Driver in Fitchburg, MA, with paid CDL training and a focus on safe, reliable transportation for students. The role includes driving local routes, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining professional communication with families and school staff.

Qualified applicants must have a CDL Class B with P & S endorsements (or be willing to obtain), a valid DOT medical card, a clean driving record, and be 21+ with 3+ years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check & drug screening
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• Drive assigned local routes
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle

• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $30.90/hour (effective 8/24/2026)
  • Paid Training: $20/hour
  • Charter/Activity Trips: $27.81/hour
• Schedule: Part‑time, split shift (AM/PM)
• Weekdays only — no nights, weekends, or holidays
• Weekly pay + guaranteed minimum hours
