Job summary

Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking a transportation driver for the Education/Transportation division, operating at the Transportation Garage onsite. You will perform daily safety checks, clean buses, and complete post-trip inspections to ensure safe student transport.

Required are a valid US driver’s license, Class B endorsements, DOT physical maintenance, and the ability to manage student seating. Travel may be required and background checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily DOT safety and maintenance checks before and after routes.

• Maintain assigned student roster and seating for each route.
• Be available for extracurricular bus runs as needed.
• Represent the Fond du Lac Band in a professional manner.

Division/Department: Education/TransportationLocation: Transportation Garage - OnsiteReports To: Transportation ManagerProbationary Period: 90 days – Full time; 120 days – Part timeFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)Classification: Child Related CADriver’s License: Level 3 - Driver's License Required.Rate of Pay: $20.45 - $23.01Responsibilities: A thorough daily DOT safety and maintenance check list is required prior to each time a bus goes out on a route and upon return from a route.Interior of each bus will be cleaned at the end of each work day.Completes thorough post trip inspection log of school bus interior.Complete checklists in the prescribed manner and turns them in at the end of each work day .Maintains effective bus discipline.
