Job summary

Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is seeking a Hotel/Guest Services representative for the Black Bear Casino Resort onsite. You will handle hotel calls, assist guests with reservations, and promote promotions with a courteous, professional demeanor.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and attentiveness to detail. Prior call center or hospitality experience is preferred, with a flexible schedule and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and word processing is required.
  • One year experience in relevant area and/or call center is preferred.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute is preferred.
  • Previous switchboard experience preferred.
  • Previous hospitality related experience highly preferred.
  • Qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills.
  • Pleasant phone voice.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Great customer service skills must also have the initiative to work independently.
  • Must be available/flexible to work varying shifts.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or bend for the duration of shift.
  • Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Answers all incoming calls to the Hotel from internal and external callers, within 3 rings.
  • Responds to inquiries such as directions and calls for assistance.
  • Accurately enters, reviews and confirms Hotel Reservations with guests.
  • Has complete awareness and understanding of all promotions and specials.
  • Assists with wake up calls, inquires, dining reservations, etc.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Transferring calls to proper extensions, operating voice mail systems.
  • Courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, vendors and other employees.
  • Welcomes hotel guests with a smile over the phone.
  • Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
  • Represents Fond du Lac Band and department in community.
  • Maintain attendance and be on time per policy.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Flexibility to assume other responsibilities as needed by management.

  • Division/Department: Hotel/Guest Services
  • Location: Black Bear Casino Resort - Onsite
  • Reports To: Hotel Supervisor
  • Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time; 120 days – Part time, 6 months; 1 year
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
  • Classification: Non-Child Related NB
  • Driver’s License: Level 0 -No Driver’s License Required
  • Rate of Pay: $15.00 per hour

  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
