Job summary

Dean Transportation in Michigan is hiring a School Bus Attendant to support Trenton Public Schools in Trenton, MI. You will assist students and the bus driver to ensure safe, reliable transportation to school, events, and activities. No prior experience is required.

Paid training is provided, and benefits packages are available to eligible employees. Earn up to $18.50 per hour, with flexible scheduling subject to operational needs.

Qualifications

• Meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Meet company, state, and school district standards for criminal history check.
• Meet physical examination requirements.
• Pass drug and alcohol screening as established by company.
• Successfully complete position-specific training as established by company.

Responsibilities

• Safely care for and protect student passengers.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Establish favorable working relationships with school bus drivers, office and maintenance personnel, other bus attendants, student passengers, parents, teachers, principals, and total school or program staff.
• Attend training sessions, annual in-service, and workshops conducted by Dean Transportation and/or other approved agencies.
