Job summary

Boys and Girls Club Whittier / Pico Rivera is seeking a Teen Coordinator in Whittier, CA. The role oversees staff, plans and implements programs, and maintains communications with the school to ensure safe, engaging experiences for youth.

You will supervise staff, manage attendance, and coordinate with school principals and guardians. The position supports grant requirements, leads weekly staff meetings, and ensures program quality and safety across activities, with a focus on youth development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 48 college credits or pass equivalency exam are required.
• 1+ year of relevant experience working with children/youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of members at all times in a junior program setting.
• Lead and train site staff and volunteers to deliver program activities.
• Coordinate with the Area Director on overall program schedules and staffing.
• Maintain attendance records and submit weekly/monthly enrollment reports.
• Engage with school staff, guardians, and the community to meet grant requirements.
