Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide social-emotional counseling within K-12 settings.

You will work with diverse students, collaborate with school teams, and contribute to individualized education plans and behavior support strategies. The role requires licensure in a mental health field, a master’s degree, and a couple of years of related school-based experience.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a mental health professional (LPC/LCPC, LCSW/LMSW, LMFT/LMHC, or LCMHC).
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• 2 years of school-based or behavior health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, or family counseling aligned with IEPs or BIPs.
• Collaborate on developing social-emotional goals and participate in IEP meetings.
• Complete assessments and analyze data to guide behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention when needed.
• Deliver in-service trainings with teams including expressive therapy and clinical staff.
• Coordinate with external partners to support students, families, and staff.
• Maintain student documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
