Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a licensed school-based therapist to provide counseling and behavioral support for K-12 students. You will work within SESI’s in-district classrooms and partner with school teams to implement social-emotional services.

You’ll develop IEP/ BIP goals, conduct assessments, and apply data-driven interventions while collaborating with families and multidisciplinary staff. This role offers growth within SESI’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field.
• Professional licensure as one of the listed social work/therapy credentials.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in school or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, or counseling services to students per IEP or BIP.
• Collaborate with school teams and families on IEPs and social-emotional goals.
• Complete social-emotional assessments and develop behavior plans as needed.
• Implement de-escalation, crisis management, and safety procedures for students and staff.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and interventions.
• Participate in in-service trainings and collaborate with external partners as required.
• Maintain student documents in accordance with regulatory standards.

Education

Master’s degree in social work or related field

Professional licensure (LPC/LCPC, LCSW/LMSW, LMFT/LMHC, or LCMHC)
