Advocate Health is expanding its School Based Services in Georgia and seeks a licensed School Based Counselor to provide teletherapy to students in grades 5–12 within Georgia school systems. The role emphasizes compassionate care, crisis management, collaborative planning with families, and thorough documentation with compliant discharge planning.

Work is remote within school settings, with a 40-hour week aligned to school schedules, and no weekend or holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field required (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy).
• Full licensure in applicable state required.
• 2 years clinical experience required.
• CPR and CPI training required for psychotherapist in inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate patient care according to identified needs.
• Manage clients in crisis using appropriate therapeutic skills.
• Write treatment and discharge plans aligned with diagnosis and age.
• Collaborate with guardians and community agencies to ensure service delivery.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely; ensure billing information is correct.
• Design and deliver patient education; maintain open communication with the healthcare team.
