Job summary

Advocate Health is expanding School Based Services into Georgia and seeks a passionate School Based Counselor to join our growing team. This role provides virtual therapy to students in grades 5–12 within school settings and follows the school calendar.

The counselor will work Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with no weekends or on-call duties, and will benefit from a supportive team environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field is required.
• Full licensure in Georgia required.
• Two years of clinical experience required.
• CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapist in inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates patient care according to identified needs.
• Manages clients in crisis utilizing appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques.
• Writes treatment plans according to patient diagnosis and age; follows through with discharge plans.
• Collaborates with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
• Completes patient care documentation and billing information accurately.
• Designs and delivers patient education.
• Maintains open communication with the healthcare team for patient outcomes.
