Job summary

Advocate Health is expanding School Based Telepsychiatry into Georgia and seeks a School Based Counselor to provide virtual therapy to students in grades 5–12. This full-time role involves delivering services in a school setting with predictable 40-hour weeks and no weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.

You will support children, adolescents, and families, developing treatment plans, crisis management, and collaboration with guardians and the care team. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field.
• Full licensure in applicable state.
• 2 years clinical experience.
• CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapist in inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care based on identified needs.
• Manage clients in crisis using therapeutic skills and assessment techniques.
• Write treatment plans aligned with diagnosis, age, and presentation.
• Draft discharge plans and manage termination process.
• Collaborate with guardians and community agencies for service delivery.
• Complete patient care assignments with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Document patient care/response in medical records accurately and timely.
• Complete accurate billing information.
• Design, plan, and implement patient education programs.
• Maintain open communication with the healthcare team for outcomes.
