Job summary

The SLP works independently within scope, reports to the site administrator or Supervisor, Speech-Language, and collaborates with teachers and staff to meet individual education plan goals and improve communication outcomes in the educational

Qualifications

• Requires FL licensure in Speech-Language Pathology or FL Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12.
• ASHA CCC preferred; provisional license accepted for fellows.
• Ability to conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop educationally relevant treatment plans.
• Experience with IEP processes and collaboration with teachers and families.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech, language, hearing, and communication screenings and evaluations for students referred through school teams.
• Reports and interprets findings to parents, teachers, and stakeholders.
• Develops educationally relevant recommendations, therapy, and treatment plans per IEP processes.
• Provides services and direct instruction to students using various service delivery models.
• Monitors progress and adjusts plans to meet goals and objectives.
• Maintains documentation per district, state, and federal policies; ensures privacy and confidentiality.
