Job summary

Hillsborough County Public Schools Sun City Center: Belmont Elementary in Sun City Center, Florida is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 25-26 school year. The role involves conducting evaluations and providing educationally relevant treatment for students with speech and language disorders across grade levels.

The SLP will work independently within the district’s scope of practice, reporting to the site administrator and Supervisor, Speech-Language.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (FL DOH) or Florida Educator Certificate in Speech-Language Impaired K-12.
• ASHA CCC preferred; provisional license accepted for clinical fellows.

Responsibilities

• Performs screenings and evaluations of students for speech, language, hearing and related disorders.
• Reports findings to parents, teachers and stakeholders.
• Develops treatment plans aligned with IEP processes and eligibility criteria.
• Provides services across grade levels using multiple service delivery models.
• Monitors progress and adjusts goals as needed.
• Maintains confidential documentation of student progress and service records.
• Trains and supervises clinical fellows/graduate students as assigned.
