Job summary

Hillsborough County Public Schools is seeking aSpeech-Language Pathologist at Kingswood Elementary in Brandon, FL. The role focuses on conducting evaluations and providing evidence-based treatment for students with speech, language, and related disorders across grade levels, within district policies.

The SLP will work independently within the scope of practice, reporting to the site administrator and the Supervisor, Speech-Language.

Qualifications

• License/Certification required for Speech-Language Pathology in Florida.
• CCC preferred; provisional license accepted for fellows.
• Experience with IEP processes and eligibility guidelines; ability to develop therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Conducts screenings and evaluations of students for speech, language, hearing, and related disorders.
• Reports findings to parents, teachers and stakeholders.
• Develops and implements therapy plans aligned with IEP processes.
• Provides services using various delivery models and monitors progress.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with policies and privacy rules.
• Trains/supervises staff; may supervise clinical fellows and students.

Education

Florida Department of Health License in Speech Language Pathology

Florida Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12

American Speech Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred

Florida Health Provisional License accepted for clinical fellows
