Job summary

Northwest Independent School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support students across campuses in Fort Worth, Texas. The role focuses on prevention, assessment, and remediation of language, articulation, fluency, feeding/swallowing, and voice disorders within the educational program.

As a campus consultant, you will collaborate with teachers, assess needs, develop intervention plans, and adhere to TSHA guidelines and confidentiality requirements while coordinating evaluations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure as SLP with TDLR.
  • Preferred: ASHA CCC or eligibility for CFY/CFY-eligible status.
  • Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and interpret results per TSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee school-based speech-language therapy to prevent, assess, and remediate language disorders.
  • Collaborate with campus staff, attend ARD meetings, and support IEP goals.
  • Administer assessments, interpret data, and report results for eligibility and programming needs.
  • Coordinate with teachers and specialists to implement intervention plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of student records.
  • Provide training to teachers for intervention strategies and data collection.
