Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat students with speech and language impairments within a school setting. You will participate in ARD committees, collaborate with families and educators, and coordinate services district-wide.

The ideal candidate holds a masters in Speech-Language Pathology, licensure in Texas (TDLR) or eligibility, and experience in special education environments.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders.
  • Licensed or eligible for Licensure by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) as SLP (within 90 days).
  • Preferred CCC-SLP or equivalent.
  • Experience with school-based services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for students suspected of speech/language impairments.
  • Review assessment data; determine eligibility for speech therapy; recommend placement.
  • Design and implement individual and group speech-language interventions.
  • Participate in ARD committees and campus multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate programs for students with speech, language and hearing impairments.
  • Consult with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding IEPs and accommodations.
  • Maintain eligibility files and ARD documentation.
  • Provide supervision to CFY interns and supervise SLP assistants.
