Job summary

Northside Center for Child Development seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver therapy per each student’s IEP across Pre-K to school age programs. Responsibilities include documentation, collaboration with teachers and families, and ongoing professional development.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, NY licensure, and ASHA certification (CCC/CFY). Experience with diverse language disorders and Medicaid considerations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• New York State License in Speech Pathology (mandatory).
• NYC Department of Education Teaching Certificate (TSHH/TSSLD) (mandatory).
• CCC or CFY from the ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage each student’s IEP caseload.
• Provide speech therapy per IEP using individual, group, push-in and pull-out formats.
• Verify signed prescription prior to service in EasyTrac.
• Ensure accurate CPT/ICD coding for documentation and billing.
• Document session notes and upload paperwork to Teams.
• Complete progress reports and rationales within timelines.
• Track attendance and submit monthly attendance cards.
• Prepare prescriptions and weekly session notes in EasyTrac.
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and stakeholders to support collaboration.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and malpractice insurance.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to support caseload and licensure.
