Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Pathology.
• Certification by the State Department of Education with endorsement in Speech Pathology.
• ASHA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evaluation of students with communicative disorders.
• Evaluates and diagnoses speech and language disorders.
• Develops and implements individualized education plans (IEPs) for therapy.
• Develops service delivery models to meet student needs.
• Refers students to other professionals and community agencies.
• Consults with teachers to transfer therapy gains to classroom activities.
• Provides information and guidance to parents/guardians.
• Maintains records for students evaluated and receiving services.
• Informs administrators and team of program developments and progress.
• Coordinates services with other school programs.
• Demonstrates written and oral communication proficiency.
• Ensures adherence to district policies and regulations.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent.

Education

Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Pathology
