Job summary

TemPositions Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based role in Long Island City, NY. The SLP will provide therapy, conduct evaluations, and collaborate with families, teachers, and professionals to support individual goals.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and NYS SLP licensure; TSSLD and PROMPT experience are preferred. The role involves onsite engagement with students and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Current New York State SLP license required.
• TSSLD certification preferred.
• PROMPT experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with autism preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy and evaluations for students.
• Address language, auditory processing, articulation, voice, and fluency areas.
• Work with children with autism and various communication needs.
• Support students in achieving IFSP/IEP goals.
• Utilize appropriate behavior management techniques.
• Complete evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student services and needs.
