Job summary

TemPositions Health Care is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with students in a school-based setting in Long Island City, NY. The SLP will provide speech and language therapy and evaluations while collaborating with families, teachers, and other professionals to support each student's individual goals.

This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working with children and contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary school environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• TSSLD certification preferred.
• PROMPT experience preferred.
• Experience with children with autism preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy and evaluations for students.
• Address language, auditory processing, articulation, voice, and fluency.
• Work with children with autism and diverse communication needs.
• Support students in achieving IFSP or IEP goals.
• Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend weekly team meetings.
• Complete evaluations and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student services.
• Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
