Job summary

ADAPT Community Network is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist in New York City. You will assess and treat students under IFSP/IEP, collaborate with families, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Requires NY State license in Speech and Language Pathology and ASHA CCC, with CFY supervision available for candidates. Competitive benefits accompany a Monday–Friday schedule and an emphasis on inclusive services.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY State license in Speech and Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCC required.
• NYSED Certification as Teacher of Speech and Hearing mandated.
• CFY candidates will be supervised.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech and language assessment and evaluation and writes summaries for EI/CPSE/CSE.
• Plans and conducts speech and language interventions aligned to goals.
• Implements testing procedures and documents progress for regulatory review.
• Assesses oral motor development and designs treatment plans.
• Keeps abreast of AAC techniques and utilizes AAC devices.
• Provides in-service training on AAC usage.
• Maintains attendance records and progress notes.
• Delivers progress reports to parents and team members; communicates regularly.
• Participates in team meetings and case conferences.
• Ensures services align with educational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Completes Initial Evaluation and Intake; handles documentation timely.
• Provides supervision to CFY students as assigned.

Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
