Job summary

The Bachrach Group in New York, NY is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders that impact students' educational performance.

The SLP will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support communication skills essential for academic success and social participation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations to determine student eligibility for services
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP or 504 goals
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings
  • Address articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and pragmatics
  • Support students using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems when appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide classroom-based strategies and consultative services to support communication across settings
  • Educate staff and families on techniques to support language development and communication skills
