Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a school-based social worker to empower students and support their social, emotional, and behavioral growth in a Maine classroom setting.

In this contract role, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to assess needs, provide individual and group counseling, and help implement supports and IEPs.

A MSW with valid state licensure and prior school experience is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure to practice as a Social Worker.
• Experience in school or educational setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Collaborate with teachers and administration to implement supports and strategies.
• Coordinate with families to identify resources and services.
• Develop and contribute to IEPs and other student support initiatives.
• Support crisis intervention and maintain documentation per school policies.
