Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) recruits a social-emotional services coordinator to join a multidisciplinary team supporting K-12 students across in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will provide individual or group counseling, align with IEPs/BIPs, and collaborate with school teams and families to deliver SESI’s high-quality services dedicated to social-emotional and behavioral support.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure in the specified credentials (LPC/LCPC, LCSW/LMSW, LMFT/LMHC, LCMHC).
• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field (mental health, psychology, counseling).
• At least 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in school, special education, or behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve diverse student populations with social-emotional counseling in accordance with IEPs or BIPs.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs including social-emotional goals and participate in IEP meetings.
• Complete assessments, analyze data, and develop functional behavior assessments and plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies, de-escalation, crisis management, and safe student handling as needed.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and intensive behavioral supports.
• Provide in-service training with teams including expressive therapy and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with external partners to support students, families, and staff.
• Maintain student documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
