Job summary

This full-time contract role collaborates with a licensed SLP to deliver therapy and help children build communication skills for academic and social success. You will document progress, assist with screenings, prepare therapy materials, contribute to classroom interventions, and participate in IEP activities under supervision while upholding district protocols.

Qualifications

• Texas SLPA license required (TDLR).
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field.
• Successful completion of required clinical observation and assisting experience as per Texas regulations.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Previous school-based experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy to students in alignment with supervising SLP.
• Collect and document therapy data and student progress to support learning outcomes.
• Assist in conducting screenings for speech, language, and hearing needs.
• Prepare therapy materials and contribute to classroom interventions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and fellow school professionals to help students achieve communicative success.
• Support IEP implementation and follow-up activities as guided by the SLP.
• Uphold school district protocols and professional practices.
