Job summary

BlazerJobs is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting near Bedford, TX. This full-time contract role collaborates with a supervising SLP to implement evidence-based plans and help students strengthen communication skills in the classroom.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy sessions, collecting progress data, assisting with screenings, preparing materials, and maintaining confidential records.

Qualifications

• Active Texas SLPA license (TDLR) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
• Completed state-required clinical observation and assisting experience.
• Ability to work effectively under SLP supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions as outlined by the supervising SLP
• Collect, document, and maintain therapy progress notes
• Assist with screenings for speech, language, and hearing under SLP direction
• Prepare therapy materials and facilitate classroom-based interventions
• Maintain organized and confidential student records
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and educational professionals
• Participate in implementation and follow-through of IEPs as designed by the SLP
• Uphold all relevant state, district, and professional guidelines
