Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Westland, MI for an onsite school-based role. The position involves evaluating students, diagnosing communication disorders, and coordinating with educators to implement IEP-driven services.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and MI licensure, with experience in school settings and collaboration with MET/IEP teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification (ASHA) and MI state licensure.
• Experience with school-based evaluations and IEPs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
• Interpret assessment results and develop written evaluation reports with findings, eligibility recommendations, and educational implications.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and service delivery models to address student communication needs.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings aligned with IEP goals.
• Serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and families regarding speech and communication development.”
• Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology and related services.
• Participate in MET and IEP meetings and other school-based meetings as required.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student progress across environments.
