Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026/2027 school year in the Detroit, MI area. This in-person, W2 contract role offers an hourly rate of $60 and requires licensure and state endorsements as noted in the qualifications.

The position focuses on providing therapy services to school students, evaluating and developing IEPs, collaborating with teachers, families, and intervention teams to support language development in early elementary

Qualifications

• Minimum 300 clock hours of supervised practicum with diverse communication disorders.
• Demonstrated skills in assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, and fluency impairment.
• Willingness to learn district-specific language acquisition strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist elementary teachers in language acquisition and sound awareness through modeling and team teaching.
• Act as liaison between school and home to promote parent involvement.
• Participate in intervention team meetings to support general education teachers with language strategies.
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and determine eligibility per MARSE.
• Manage caseload and develop/implement IEPs.
• Maintain and submit records and reports timely.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication.
• Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and collaborate effectively.
• Adhere to school policies and regulations at all times.
• Engage in professional growth and ethical leadership.
