Job summary

RCM Health Care Services is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026/2027 school year in and around Dearborn, MI. Positions available full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time; in-person at an elementary location.

W2, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits. The role requires LIC/CCC credentials, strong collaboration with teachers, parents, and intervention teams, and delivering evaluations and IEP-based therapy services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech and language pathology.
• 60 semester hours in normal communication development and clinical techniques.
• Minimum 300 clock hours of supervised practicum.
• SB endorsement and/or CCC required.
• Michigan certification as teacher of the speech and language impaired preferred.
• Early Childhood or Elementary education certification preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in articulation, language, voice, and fluency issues.
• Willingness to learn district-specific language acquisition strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist early elementary general education teachers to foster language acquisition and sound awareness.
• Act as liaison between school and home to involve parents.
• Participate in intervention team meetings to support language strategies for at-risk children.
• Conduct speech/language evaluations and determine MARSE eligibility.
• Manage caseload and develop/implement IEPs.
• Maintain and submit records and reports timely.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication.
• Collaborate with staff and maintain professional ethics and leadership.
• Travel between multiple buildings.

Job description

RCM is looking for a full or part time school based SLPs to provide therapy services to school students in and around the Dearborn, MI area for the 2026/2027 school year. W2 contact, full time is 37.5 hours per week. IN PERSON at the elementary school location only. Also accepting part time applicants.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan certification as a teacher of the speech and language impaired preferred.
• SB endorsement and/or Clinical Competence Certificate required
• An earned master's degree in speech and language pathology.
• A minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of academic credit in normal aspects of human communication, development, and clinical techniques for evaluation and management of speech and language disorders as described in State rule R340.1796.
• A minimum of 300 clock hours of supervised practicum experience with persons who present a variety of communication disorders.
• Early Childhood or Elementary education certification preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in assessment and treatment of articulation, language, voice, and fluency impairment.
• Willingness to learn in district-specific strategies related to language acquisition skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist early elementary general education teachers in facilitating language acquisition skills and sound awareness skills. Support strategies will include the use of modeling, lessons, and team teaching.
• Act as a liaison between school and home to foster parent involvement.
• Participate as a member on intervention team meetings to assist general education teachers with strategies to support children who are at risk in the area of language acquisition.
• Conducts speech/language evaluations and determines eligibility in accordance with the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).
• Manage caseload assignment; develop and implement IEPs.
• Maintains and submits records and reports in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Exhibit positive interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively.
• Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state and federal rules
• and regulations.
• Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
• Travel between multiple buildings.

Schedule

• School Year – Full Time – Will follow Academic Calendar – 37.5 hours per week

Compensation

• $55-$60/hour – based on experience
