Job summary

Career Links is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based assignment in California. You will provide therapy services to students with communication challenges and collaborate with a special education team.

You’ll develop IEPs, conduct evaluations, and maintain documentation while utilizing evidence-based strategies including AAC. CF supervision available; generous compensation and relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
• Experience in public schools or with IEPs.
• Familiarity with Medicaid billing and compliance.
• Cultural competency with diverse student populations.
• CF supervision available for Clinical Fellows.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs to ensure legal and ethical compliance.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals.
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including AAC.
• Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions for diverse student populations.
• Provide training or guidance to classroom staff to generalize communication strategies.
