Job summary

Lauderdale County School District seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat students with communication disorders within the school setting. The role focuses on developing individualized therapy plans aligned with IDEA and state policies.

The SLP will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to monitor progress, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with district and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Mississippi is required.
• Completion of supervised clinical fellowship (nine months) is expected or completed.
• Successful completion of the Praxis examination (or board-approved equivalent) is required.
• CCC-SLP eligibility/certification is preferred when available.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for communication disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver services and ensure compliance.

Education

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field

MSDH licensed Speech Language Pathologist

Clinical fellowship (nine months of supervised practice)

Praxis examination (or board exam) passed

CCC SLP eligibility or certification (preferred)
