Job summary

Navigator Academy of Leadership in Valrico, Florida seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our student services team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders, working closely with teachers and families to support classroom success.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations for IDEA/IEP eligibility, developing and implementing IEP goals, delivering direct therapy, and collaborating with ESE staff to

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAa-accredited program.
• Active Florida SLP license from the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
• FL DOE certification in Speech-Language Impaired (K-12).
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
• Clinical fellowship completed per Florida Board requirements.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP process and Florida ESE requirements a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy (individual or small group) in line with IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, ESE staff, and families to support student communication needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and annual reviews.
• Maintain documentation in compliance with school, state, and federal requirements.
• Monitor and report progress toward IEP goals.
• Conduct PK–12 hearing screenings as required by Florida statute.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (CAA-accredited)

Florida SLP license

FL DOE SLP Certification (K-12)

ASHA CCC-SLP preferred

Clinical fellowship completion (CFY)

Experience with school-age children

Familiarity with IEP & Florida ESE requirements
