Job summary

Sage Connections is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 in-school nursing support for a student in Augusta, Maine, for the 2025–2026 school year. The role is onsite, 8:45am–1:45pm, Monday–Thursday, with a start 07/06/26 and end 08/13/26 (renewal possible).

The nurse will manage complex care needs, including G-tube feeds and CHARGE syndrome, in a supportive school environment. Ideal candidates hold an active Maine RN license, CPR certification, and experience with

Qualifications

• Maine RN license required and active in good standing.
• Experience working with seizure disorders is required.
• G-Tube experience is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Compassionate, student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing support throughout the school day.
• Student uses a wheelchair and requires total care with ADLs.
• Student has CHARGE syndrome and is non-verbal; uses a communication board.
• Administer blood sugar checks (finger sticks) twice daily and manage g-tube feeds as needed.
• Assist with two-person lift for toileting.
• Student rides the bus to/from school; nurse not required on the bus.
