Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing care for a elementary school student within the Dover School District. The role emphasizes hands-on care, safety, and helping the student participate fully in class activities.

The RN will work Monday–Friday on a modified schedule with potential for a full day schedule, collaborating with teachers, families, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent, quality care throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
• Pediatric, school nursing, G-tube, or complex-care experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care during the school day and bus run.

• Administer G-tube feedings, medications, and treatments per orders.

Registered Nurse (RN) – School-Based 1:1 Student Care

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated RegisteredNurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to an elementary school student within the Dover School District.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a student’s school day. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands-on care while helping the student participate as fully and safely as possible in the school environment.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Modified schedule 12:00-3:00pm (working up to full day schedule 8:00am-3:00pm)
Setting: Dover School District | Elementary School | 1:1 Student Care
Additional Requirement: Nursing support during school bus runs

Student Care Needs

The student requires individualized nursing support and has complex medical and developmental needs, including:

• G-tube care and management
• Wheelchair-dependent mobility
• Visual impairment
• Non-verbal communication
• Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Close monitoring and support throughout the school day
• Safe transportation support during the school bus run

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day and during the assigned bus run
• Monitor the student’s health status and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Provide G-tube care and administer feedings, medications, and treatments according to physician orders and the student’s care plan
• Assist with positioning, mobility, transfers, and other physical care needs as appropriate
• Monitor for changes in the student’s condition and communicate concerns promptly
• Support the student’s communication, comfort, safety, and participation in the classroom and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Follow all school, district, and nursing care policies and procedures
• Provide a calm, supportive, and nurturing presence for the student throughout the school day

Qualifications
