Interim HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to an elementary student in the Dover School District. The role supports the student during the school day, including G-tube management, mobility assistance, and monitoring health needs.

The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable, and able to collaborate with teachers, families, and healthcare providers. Schedule is Mon-Fri with a modified afternoon window, with potential for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Hampshire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
• Pediatric, school nursing, G-tube, or complex-care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work collaboratively with school personnel.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with mobility/positioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care during the school day and bus run.
• Monitor health and respond to medical needs.
• Administer feedings, medications, and treatments per orders.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School-Based 1:1 Student Care

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to an elementary school student within the Dover School District.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a student’s school day. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands‑on care while helping the student participate as fully and safely as possible in the school environment.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Modified schedule 12:00-3:00pm (working up to full day schedule 8:00am-3:00pm)
Setting: Dover School District | Elementary School | 1:1 Student Care
Additional Requirement: Nursing support during school bus runs

Student Care Needs

The student requires individualized nursing support and has complex medical and developmental needs, including:

• G-tube care and management
• Wheelchair‑dependent mobility
• Visual impairment
• Non‑verbal communication
• Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Close monitoring and support throughout the school day
• Safe transportation support during the school bus run

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, individualized 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day and during the assigned bus run
• Monitor the student’s health status and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Provide G‑tube care and administer feedings, medications, and treatments according to physician orders and the student’s care plan
• Assist with positioning, mobility, transfers, and other physical care needs as appropriate
• Monitor for changes in the student’s condition and communicate concerns promptly
• Support the student’s communication, comfort, safety, and participation in the classroom and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Follow all school, district, and nursing care policies and procedures
• Provide a calm, supportive, and nurturing presence for the student throughout the school day

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New Hampshire
