Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 nursing care for a elementary school student within the Dover School District. The role emphasizes hands-on care, safety, and helping the student participate fully in class activities.

The RN will work Monday–Friday on a modified schedule with potential for a full day schedule, collaborating with teachers, families, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent, quality care throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience within the last five years.
• Pediatric, school nursing, G-tube, or complex-care experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care during the school day and bus run.
• Monitor student health and respond to medical needs.
• Administer G-tube feedings, medications, and treatments per orders.
• Assist with positioning, mobility, transfers, and personal care.
• Monitor for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support student communication, comfort, safety, and participation in class.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, parents, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain nursing documentation and follow policies.
• Provide a calm, supportive presence throughout the day.
