Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide 1:1 care for a student in a West Chicago school setting. The RN will handle medical needs including tube feeding and ventilation management, with duties spanning the school day from 7:40 to 3:40, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school staff to ensure safety and well-being, plus support for the classroom teacher and students throughout the day.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred
• Must pass background check and required school district clearances
• Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and agencies outside the school system

Responsabilidades

• Provide basic care for students when they are injured or ill, and manage chronic conditions
• Oversee the school's medication administration program
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits, such as hygiene and proper nutrition
• Work with school staff to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the school community
• Support the classroom teacher with daily activities
• Assist students with assignments, manage classroom materials, and reinforce instructions
