Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide 1:1 care for a student within a Bensenville classroom. This school-based RN will support medical needs during the school day, including transport, with a tracheostomy, ventilator and G-tube as described.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an active RN license in Illinois, plus ability to coordinate with teachers, parents and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of employment (Illinois).
• Experience in pediatric mental health is preferred.
• Must pass background check and school district clearances.
• Ability to coordinate with staff, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care for a student in the classroom.
• Assist with medical needs such as tube feeding, oxygen, and medications.
• Oversee the school's medication administration program.
• Educate students and staff on healthy habits and safety.
• Support teachers with daily activities and classroom materials.
