Job summary

Allied Instructional in Ashland, VA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support school-based physical therapy services for preschool and school-aged children. Qualifications

• A valid degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Utilize current evidence-based practices to treat impairments in gross motor skills, mobility, balance, strength, coordination, and functional movement
• Comply with special education service delivery within federal, state, and county procedural guidelines
• Collaborate with the supervising PT in the development and implementation of IEPs for students requiring physical therapy as a related service, and participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide ethical, student-centered, and evidence-based treatment
• Communicate and consult with students, parents, educators, administrators, and outside agency professionals
